220.6 yep.

OK, So I am about to break 220. I do not think I have weighed less than 220 since I moved back to KY three years ago. Eat Less, Do more. Even at the all you can eat buffet, I ate the mussels that were plain, with just soy sauce, rather than the ones baked with cheese. Small efforts like this make all the difference. I have had a few soda’s in the last week, I need to cut those out. They taste so much better when you have not had one for weeks though. Try it. If you regularly drink soda, go a week without and then have one. WOW are they sweet. Also, what is the deal with yoplait yogurt? 27grams of sugar in the little thing. I think it is a 6 ounce serving.

221.6 yep. still going down. yep.

So I have only done a little. I do not put as much (or any) cheese on things. I try to make my portions smaller. I walk around more often at work. A little improvement everyday. It works and is sustainable. I have eaten brownies with whipped cream, and chili with cheese and sour cream. I have lost 4 pounds in 19 days. That is ahead of my goal of averaging 1 pound a week.

222.2 I like it. Nice and Easy.

So I really have not done anything major or new. I just keep trying to get a little better every day. And, it works.

Eat a little less at every meal than you would have before you started trying to lose weight.

Do a little more every day… like walking up and down the stairs three extra times to get stuff rather than making your son get stuff for you!

Yep. It works.

Eat Less. Do More.

222.6

OK, so I am still doing well according to the scale. I feel like I did not really follow the plan this week, I had pizza one day, Subway one day, and a piece of cake at work. I guess only eating half a pizza rather than a whole one is good huh? :}

222.4 WOW.

Ok, so I am a little surprized that my plan appears to be working. I am almost two weeks into my simple plan to Eat Less, Do More, Lose 30 pounds. And I have lost 3 pounds. That is better than my wildly random goal of one pound a week. I understand that the last five pounds you want to lose are the hardest to take off, and the first five are usually the easiest… however it appears to be working. I am encouraged and stimulated into… well…

Eating Less, and Doing more.
This means eating less bad stuff and more good stuff, as well as doing more exercise and doing less of the bad habits. Soon I will try to regulate how much sleep I am getting and have a schedule for some things. Crazy, I know. 2010 is going to be the best year ever. All of the Glory of God.

223.6 yep.

So the number is consistently going down, if only a little bit at a time. That is the plan. If I can average one pound a week for 30 weeks, I will be there. So far I have followed three simple rules.
1. No Soda. I have slipped on this one time. BUT NOT SODA.
2. Stop putting cheese on everything.
3. Stand up more, sit down less.

224.2 Even though I had Red Robin

OK, so I ate at Red Robin yesterday with my family and some friends. I had a Santa Fe burger and fries. 1550 + calories, 98 + grams of fat. Wow. It was really really good. I was afraid that I would weigh five pounds more today, but I did not. Last night for dinner I had steamed broccoli, steamed carrots, and blackeyes peas, (NO CHEESE). I hoped that maybe all those vegi’s would offset the massive lunch. I guess they did.

226.2. Yep. Mountain Dew.

So I gained weight. Hmmm… I used hot sauce in my blackeyed peas rather than putting cheese on them. I ate my apple at lunch with my Ramen. I played Wii for an hour, jumping up and sitting down, swinging my batting / tennis / bowling arm wildly.
I also had a Mountain Dew. Yep. It is true. My number one rule of losing weight is to NOT drink sodas. At all. And after lunch yesterday in the middle of snowy day, I did. A 12 ounce can of Mountain Dew. While I do not that the soda alone will destroy any other efforts, it will destroy the little efforts I am making. I am trying to improve one percent a day. Drinking Mountain Dew, with 110 calories per serving… OH and that is an 8 ounce serving. So a 12 ounce can has 165 calories. AND… here is the kicker… 43.5 grams of sugar. WHAT? Can that be right? 29 grams of sugar for one 8 oz serving. One 12 oz serving is 1.5 times that. 43.5! A regular size snickers bar has 30. Wow. That is a lot of sugar.

224.0. But I really just want to rant about CNN.

What is going on with the “NEWS” people these days? I know I have ranted about this in the past, but really, if I go to the front page of CNN today, and iReport is the first thing listed. AND much of what is on CNN as “NEWS” is someone blogging about something with very little if any facts! What is that about? I expect that at TMZ or Enquirer or Entertainment Magazine, but not from CNN! WHo, What, When, Why, Where? No one knows, and no one asks. Boo on CNN again. I am going to start going somewhere else for news. Where?
